My story

From the NICU to a mission for better care

What began with my twins’ NICU journey became a commitment to making healthcare safer, more compassionate, and more responsive to families.

My journey into healthcare did not begin in a boardroom or a classroom; it began in the quiet, fragile intensity of the NICU as a mother to premature twins born at 25 weeks of gestational age, weighing 1 pound 11 ounces each.

During their four-month stay, my twins faced a cascade of complex clinical challenges. Transitioning home revealed a separate crisis: a profound lack of systemic preparation for life beyond the hospital.

That experience changed the trajectory of my life and became a commitment to changing how we care for our smallest and most vulnerable.

Over the past eighteen years, I have walked alongside families and clinical teams across the globe, speaking three languages and bridging cultures to ensure the patient’s voice is woven into the fabric of care.

I completed Harvard Medical School’s program in Safety, Quality, Informatics, and Leadership, finishing at the top of my class. My capstone project on communication and family engagement through virtual rounding was honored as one of the program’s top three.

Today, I work as a consultant, research partner, and speaker. I don’t just consult; I partner with hospitals and healthcare entities to create systems that are as compassionate as they are clinically excellent.
